Bringing together advanced technology and industry expertise
Experience the next generation of drone management capabilities. Dronecloud is advancing air traffic control and operational excellence.
Flexible and scalable drone operation systems
Our work spans many projects designed to support the drone industry, working alongside regulators and commercial partners.
Through government-funded R&D initiatives and large-scale commercial projects, we bring together advanced technology and industry expertise. We ensure that the UK drone industry is at the forefront of developing drone systems and technologies. It’s our dedication to innovation guarantees that you stay ahead.
Our work
The benefits of drone capabilities are undeniable, whether it’s cost effectiveness, health and safety or the ability to capture data from inhospitable or inaccessible areas. These benefits, however, are about to multiply in number and Dronecloud is an integral part of that change! Read all about what we are doing here…

R&D Project 1: ALIAS
Location: Jersey
Duration: Almost 2 years
Project Agile Integrated Airspace System (ALIAS) involves testing state-of-the-art technology to make the skies safer for all aviation and enable autonomous unmanned aircraft. The Dronecloud team participated in this project by setting up drone flight trials on Jersey and demonstrating integrated technology for multi-operator BVLOS drone operations within a live shared airspace ATC environment. This project aims to deliver a template for Integrated Traffic Management (ITM). It paves the way for scalable Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and autonomous drone operations.

R&D Project 2: Blueprint
Location: United Kingdom
Duration: 2 years
Project Blueprint, led by Neuron Innovations Ltd and part of Innovate UK’s Future Flight Challenge, aimed to transition BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone operations from temporary, segregated airspace to routine, shared airspace. Dronecloud played a crucial role as the UAS Traffic Management (UTM) provider. We enabled the seamless integration of drones within shared airspace through automated mission planning, real-time telemetry, conformance monitoring, and live traffic views. This pioneering project opens the door for scalable, safe, and efficient BVLOS drone operations, setting a new standard for global aviation technology.

R&D Project 3: Project Rise
Location: Info needed
Duration: Info needed
Project rise was successfully completed in November 2021; another step towards enabling the future scale of bvlos and other flights in non-segregated airspace. Project RISE
